The Model 690 Secure Fax System consists of a Brother MFC-8480DN Plain Paper Fax and one of our Model 90si Secure Fax Gateways. This combination provides a best value in a desktop, workgroup, secure fax. Capable of operating as both a secure fax and as a standard non-secure fax, the system provides exceptional value and capability.
WORKGROUPS
With a maximum duty cycle of 30,000 pages per month, the 690 can easily support the volume requirements of small and mid sized workgroups. The system can be configured to operate as only a secure fax or, optionally, as both a secure fax and a non-secure fax. The choice is yours. Additionally, the fax has a 50-page automatic document feeder a 250-sheet letter/legal paper cassette a legal sized flapbed scanner and supports duplex (two sided) printing and copying.
LOW COST
The Model 690 is the lowest cost secure fax in its’ class and is available on our GSA schedule #GS-35F-0512J.
VERSATILE / PORTABLE
Because the 690 system consists of a commercial fax and one of our small 90si’s, versatility is a given. Many groups use their 690 systems in their offices. When traveling they leave the fax behind and carry their 90si, crypto and a fax modem equipped notebook computer which provides a breifcase-portable secure fax capability. They often find a fax at their destination to ues. Why carry a fax machine around!
UPGRADEABLE
Fax machines, being mechanical devices, will eventually wear out. The paper moving components will usually go first. Because the 690 is a COTS fax and a 90si when the fax wears out simply replace it with any COTS fax that meets your needs…saving thousands in the process.
